Of course, not all things are for all people, but sometimes we just have to stretch ourselves a wee bit – go a little beyond our comfort zone. We might truly amaze ourselves. And we may be way more capable of a lot more. We just have the venture out and try them.
I thought I was pretty adventurous when at 24, I drove across the country with my 3-year-old son. We were going to a new state and a new beginning. No job waiting and not much money in my pocket, but a friend’s house in which to start this new adventure. Since that rainy day, I have never looked back. But now looking at the Adventures this company is offering, that first adventure of mine was small potatoes.
I moved across the country three times. The second time was from California to the Washington, D.C. area in search of a job in a new chosen career. Through night education, I had discovered computers and computer programming. I was looking for a start-up job in that profession. The government was hiring and teaching. I wanted one of those jobs.
This was in the late 1950s and computers were in their infancy. They offered a new horizon and I was eager to be part of it. But not all adventures need to be job-related, although you might unexpectedly discover a new passion. One Adventure given by this company is a chance to pilot a plane. Offering that Adventure to a young person might spur them on to an aviation career. Who knows?
Some of these Adventures are just for pure pleasure. For example, the hot-air balloon trip and deluxe camping trips. Some are for extreme thrills, like the sky diving adventure or driving a race car. But each one offers a lifetime memory of something very unique.
We all need to step out of our comfort zone at least once in our lifetime. Maybe I was more adventurous than others when I booked my first cruise alone. I found a passion for the sea and followed that first trip with 22. Going alone onto a cruise ship for seven days without a way to go back home, taught me amazing things. The first was that there is no way to be alone on a ship with three thousand other people. I was pretty shy when I went on that first one and did have butterflies in my stomach. But all it took was a smile and a hello and I had friends, starting with the amazing crew, who mothered me the entire trip.
But I digress here reminiscing about my adventures. I want to tell you in-depth about some of the amazing things this company is offering.
