Persian Carpets

Persian Carpets are truly a beautiful luxury focal point in your home. They are 100% silk and totally handmade. They are tied tediously one knot at a time. Not only do they add beauty to your home, but they are extremely durable. Sometimes passed down from generation to generation. You can add this luxurious item to your home now sourced directly from the artisans for the very best prices.

These carpets are being made by hand in the country of Kashmir. There these artisans are busy working on these amazing Persian Carpets, tying one knot at a time. Hours and hours of labor go into each glorious carpet. There are different colors, sizes, and patterns available. Several more than I can put on this page. The carpet shown to the left is one of a kind and might be gone at any time.

About Kashmir

Kashmir is a tiny country northwest of the large country of India. They are wedged between India and Pakistan but are currently independent. Many luxurious items come from this area in addition to the Persian Carpets. Other items such as saffron, blue sapphires which are almost extinct, and the marvelous Pashmina shawls. The Pashmina shawls are also handmade one item at a time.

PASHMINA SHAWLS

The fabric is sourced from the wool of a special breed of goats that live in the Kashmir mountains. The wool is hand sheared from the goats, cleaned, spun, and woven to provide the starting fabric for each individual shawl. The fabric is then hand-dyed and the pattern set one bit at a time. The amazing thing about the wool is that it is so light and sheer that a finished Pashmina shawl can pass through a woman’s ring. Yet it is unexpectedly warm as a wrap.

Jack has access to unique shawls also, ask him what is available.
