Photography has never been one of my strong talents. I’m lucky if I can keep everyone’s head in the picture. But I have to admit that even without watching this man’s videos and training, I’m able to get some pretty good pictures with my new Android phone camera. I image those with iPhones get even better ones. And the bonus of this is that when you are travelling or just about anywhere, you always have your camera with you.
How many times have you seen something and said, “Darn, I wish I had brought my camera”.
And think of all the hours you have spent downloading pictures from a camera to get them onto the Internet. Oh the agony of it all. Then along came these amazing cameras in our phones, of all things. Of course, I’m from the generation who can remember back to the Brownie box camera and the rolls of film that had to be taken to the store to be developed. I remember clear back to when there was just black and white. Yeah, I’m that old.
Now we have this marvelous camera – the little button on our smartphone that is always with us. And it can take a GREAT picture even without much training. (I still can’t do a selfie and get my head in the picture).
And then along came the camera that could produce slides — which had to be developed too. When my step-father passed away the big question was what to do with the boxes and boxes of wonderful slides. They took up a lot of closet space and required a projector to show them. I also remember sitting through agonizing hours of people’s slide presentations when they came home from vacations.
