How is this possible? Well get yourself a cup of coffee or tea and give me just five minutes to tell you. It all started with Hydroponics, where water was fed directly to plant roots, but it ended up with lots of plants that all tasted like water. Then the scientist began analyzing plants and trees.
Trees provide us with oxygen which we need to breathe. We, in turn, exhale carbon dioxide. The trees need carbon dioxide to breathe. And so we have a repeatable process. The question was, can this process work for plants that need Ammonia, Algae, Minerals, and Nitrates?
Coincidentally, fish excrete Ammonia, Algae, Minerals, and Nitrates in the fish tank. And it has to be constantly filtered and recycled. So what if those Ammonia, Algae, Minerals, and Nitrates could be used for plants? What if you could connect the fish-tank water in a way to automatically water your plants. The plants would automatically get the food supply they need. And this fish tank would get filtered keeping the water healthy for the fish. It can be done.
