Scorpions

Scorpions!! That is one word that people living in Arizona hate to hear. They certainly are creepy things and if you get bitten by one it really hurts. These are mostly Bark Scorpions. They mostly are not a serious threat, but some are venomous. And if you have insect bite allergies, they can cause serious health issues. BUT A SCORPION BITE HURTS LIKE THE DEVIL!!!

Just the thought of them makes me feel creepy and crawly. So why on earth would I be writing a page about them? Because something very special has been brought to my attention. A certain species of scorpions is making headlines in the World of Health. It is even so important that it is going to be featured on the Doctor Oz show. Dr. Bryce Wylde will be his guest. So let me tell you about it.

The Blue Scorpion venom cancer treatment

It seems that there is one specie of scorpion that is found on the islands of Cuba, the Dominican Republic, and also parts of Central America. It is the Blue Scorpion (Rhopalurus Junceus) and he is quite venomous. And it seems that doctors in Cuba have learned that the venom of this pretty little guy is quite effective for treating cancer. There has been a clinical study of it that was conducted over an 8-year period that showed it to be 90% effective with more than 8,000 patients. That is pretty dynamic!!

Wait now!! Before you start envisioning the doctors pouring a jar full of scorpions over a patient let me explain more. It is the venom from these scorpions that has the curing properties. Researchers found that there are certain chemicals in the venom that is responsible for destroying cancer cells. These chemicals are Peptide and Chlorotoxin. These are the same chemicals that paralyze the scorpion’s prey. The researchers found that the peptides bind themselves to the cancer cells and shrink and destroy them.

A Marvelous Cure

Okay, great, but how can it be used? We certainly can’t have the patients be bitten in order to be cured, although maybe some would be brave enough. The researchers have now developed a method of milking the venom from the scorpion.

It is estimated that a patient with advanced cancer needs the venom from approximately 300 scorpions for three months of treatment. That seems like a lot of scorpions and a lot of time and expense. But with ingenuity, robots have been developed to do the milking. As for the 300 scorpions, Blue Scorpion farming has begun. Please I am begging Brittany, my Granddaughter’s partner who is an Advanced Biology student studying all kinds of desert creatures, not to even think about a Blue Scorpion Farm.

More facts

The average yield from one scorpion per milking is about 0.25mg. So let’s do some math. If it takes one person 5 minutes to milk one scorpion, he could possibly do 100 in an eight hour day. That would yield 25 mg in a day. Add 4 more men and a couple very hard days’ work they might get 3,000 mg every two days. A pretty costly endeavor. Hence a Robot scorpion-milking device (patent pending) was developed to stimulate the scorpion to eject the venom. But this method decreases the life of the scorpion so the scorpion population has to be constantly be replenished.

Still a costly procedure hence the estimated cost of a gram of pure Blue Scorpion venom is between $8,000 and $12,000 per gram.

ESCOZUL is the patented name for this extracted venom when packaged for sale. Typically the medication is given for a minimum time of two or three months. The extracted venom has a life span of about 10 days when it is not stored at low temperatures. The frozen ESCOZUL can last up to 14 months. After that time it begins to lose its properties.

MRVL Health Offering

Dr. Bryce Wylde, who I mentioned above will be the guest on the Dr. Oz show. Dr. Wylde is one of Canada’s leading alternative health experts and a respected homeopathic doctor and nutritionist. Dr. Wylde has recently endorsed MRVL Health Immune Support™ that features the Blue Scorpion Peptide CTX™.

As I understand it, this product is not pure scorpion venom. By using proprietary technology, MRVL labs isolate, extract, and purify the beneficial compounds within the venom to create their patent-pending ingredient, Blue Scorpion Peptide CTX™. And the current product is not being offered as a substitute for the pure venom. They are hoping to get to that point where it will have the healing qualities of the pure venom. It would be a major breakthrough for cancer treatment. But they have found that this formula of Blue Scorpion Peptide CTX™ (patent pending) does support your immune system. It can help to defend your body from foreign invaders. This is a nutraceutical and represents perhaps a breakthrough in that direction. It is a powerful ingredient that helps to support immunity.
