Steakhouse Burger Recipe

  • 2 pieces white sandwich bread, crusts removed and cut into 1/4-inch pieces
  • 1/3 cup low fat milk
  • 2-1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1-1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 3 pounds 85% lean ground beef
  • 3 scallions, finely sliced (optional)
  • Non-flammable cooking spray to grease grill

Directions To An Amazing Steakhouse Burger Recipe

First you want to preheat the grill or pan that you are using to a high heat. There is a reason to have the pan pre-heated. When you place the burger or steak or any meat into a pan that is hot it actually sears or seals the moisture inside the meat!!! Then you can always reduce the heat to allow for longer cook time without burning the outside .

Start by getting a large bowl. Mix the bread and milk together using a fork or potato masher until it forms a chunky paste. Next mix in the salt, pepper, garlic, ketchup, and finally Worcestershire sauce. Add the ground beef and mix well with your fingers just until it is evenly mixed!!! Then finely chop the scallions and add them to the beef mixture, Do not over mix.
Divide the mixture into 10 balls and then flatten them into patties. Put a thumb imprint into the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up on the grill. Now you can pan fry or grill these yummy burgers. On the last turn you can add cheese if desired.

Serve them on lightly toasted buns with lettuce, tomato and other condiments as desired.

We served our Burgers with a Merlot.

The Merlot grape creates an elegant, world-class wine. They are soft and approachable when young. The flavor profile is similar to a Cabernet Sauvignon but more elegant and refined. You will enjoy and share this selection right away…and we hope you do!!! Enjoy!!!
