Resolutions for a New Year

According to my research 41 – 48%of the people will make resolutions for a new year. Only 8% will be successful in keeping them. Why and what were they?

Again from research I found two different lists for the top 10 resolutions that people make.

List #1

  8. Drink Less
  9. Spend More Time with Family and Friends

List #2

  1. Exercise more
  2. Lose weight
  3. Get organized
  4. Learn a new skill or hobby 
  5. Live life to the fullest
  6. Save more money / spend less money
  7. Quit smoking
  8. Spend more time with family and friends
  9. Travel more
  10. Read more

These lists are very similar with items #1 and #2 just being reversed. But both lists reflect our wish to eat better and to weigh less. Both certainly are things that we should be striving for regardless of making a resolution to do it.
