DIY Gift Baskets

Gift Baskets are really fun gifts to receive, but they are costly to purchase as gifts. With a little ingenuity and a few basics, think of the fun you can have to make your own.

For Any Occasion

We have some samples and suggestions to get you started. I think once you have done one, your imagination will run away with you. You can customize each basket for the recipient. If you check on the web, you will see baskets with wine, and with meat and cheese. Also with baked goods, coffee, fruits, and jams. You can make baskets for a Christmas breakfast, a picnic, an evening with a movie, the ideas are endless.

From our Christmas Gift Selection List many of the items could be included in a gift basket. Items like the Wo-Wo, the shoe clips, the cork remover, even the NCAA or NFL tee shirts.

The Gift Baskets Basics

  • A Wicker Basket or other containers
  • Tissue Paper (maybe with sprinkles)
  • Grass (you know that shreaded stuff – Amazon has it)
  • Ribbon for Bows
  • Cellophane sheets or bags

You’ve got the idea now – they can be filled with just about anything. The more the better. Make them colorful and fun. You can use anything for the basket. They don’t have to be just straw. I even saw one that used a toolbox for the “basket”. Even the Dollar Store has baskets.

Special Footnote

You will note that the wines are noted with an asterisk in the above lists. That is because I want you to hear about our Exclusive Wine of the Month Club. This club will introduce you to the best of the fine wines from Napa and Sonoma, California. It will educate you on the various varietals of wine and how they should be paired with food items. You will have additional discounts for case quantities in addition to our already low prices for this quality wine. And best of all, they will be delivered right to your doorstep.

Don’t be embarrassed by buying wine from the grocery store and having it spoil the whole effect of your gift basket. Nothing can be worse than opening an inferior bottle of wine and having it ruin the whole effect of your gift or meal. Always be sure your wine is appropriate and of the very best quality.
